Pastor Alonia Jones to share tools on how wise women prosper
In partnership with Women Blooming in Season, an organization that exists to educate, empower and equip women and children to bloom with purpose, and Peach State Woman, a high quality, bi-monthly publication that serves as “the official magazine about amazing women in Georgia,” Alonia Jones is hosting Wise Women Prosper Conference May 18-20, 2018.
“The concept of this conference initially began as a one-day event of empowerment for women,” states Jones. “However, when I began to think of the wisdom that can be gained in order to help us live our most fulfilled lives, I quickly discovered that one day was not enough. These three days were strategically crafted to be filled with empowerment, enlightenment, encouragement, and enthusiasm, and, of course, excellence. We have identified some of the most accomplished women to share their wisdom, and I could not be more excited. We anticipate this to be unforgettable in every positive way.”
Jones is the author of six self-published books. She has also ghostwritten books, speeches, articles, scripts and more for celebrities, pastors, entrepreneurs, among others. Additionally, she has written countless feature articles for Who’s Who in Black Atlanta, Who’s Who in Black Birmingham and Who’s Who in Black Alabama. Her passion for working with youth is manifested through her work with her nonprofit initiative, The Dream Institute. As such, she helps youth (and adults facing major life changes) to tactfully articulate their life’s dreams and enhance their leadership and critical thinking skills through the enhancement and strengthening of their writing and public speaking skills. The organization also helps equip people to master everyday living.
The conference kicks off Friday at 6 p.m. with Friday Fun Night, which will feature conversations on Mind, Body and Spirit. Speakers for the night are beauty expert Tenisha Bibbs; health coach Jean Turner, RN; and BJ Arnett an actress, media expert and minister.
And, a host of other activities leading up to worship on Sunday morning at 8 a.m. at Dream to Destiny Ministries, where Jones pastors.
“Wise Women Prosper is a three-day event designed to help women understand that it is God’s desire to see them prosper in every area of their life, according to the Bible Scripture 3 John 2. Some amazing women will share their stories and empower other women to embrace their purpose, walk into their destiny, and enjoy the prosperity that God has promised them. It is our deliberate intention for Wise Women Prosper to help create and foster sisterhood, encourage mentorship, and produce greater clarity, confirmation and affirmation as it relates to the many decisions women are charged with daily,” she closes.
Women from all walks of life will are invited to join Jones and her partners at the beautiful Southwest Gardens and Events located at 2890 Continental Colony Parkway in Atlanta. Wise Women Prosper will further strengthen Jones’ nonprofit initiative, The Dream Institute, so that she and Dream to Destiny Ministries may further serve the community.
