Some of Atlanta’s “Love & Hip Hop” cast members, “WAGS Atlanta” cast members, and city influencers came together to pour their love, time and energy into giving back to the city on July 11.

Hosted by ZaRio The Voice (born Zacharias H. Muhammad) at Nancy’s Pizza at Camp Creek Marketplace, Love & Give Back collected food, toiletries, and donations to the community. Jay Productions and PMC Marketing also sponsored the event. Through his 501(c)(3) company, Free World Foundation, ZaRio wants people to understand the significance of giving to others.

“I want people to understand the importance of giving back to our community. Our primary focuses are the Sweet Auburn area with the ReBuild WeBuild Project to serve as an example to the entire nation,” ZaRio said.

“Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” star Melissa Scott also has her foundation called Pure Heat Foundation that aligns with the purpose of the event, Love & Give Back.

“With the Pure Heat Foundation, we bring experiences to youth that don’t necessarily have the disposable income for extracurricular activities. The awareness starts in a strong community and with a clean community, it will free up the minds of our youth to allow them the mental freedom to enjoy themselves when presented with extracurricular opportunities,” Scott said.

With the donations provided by attendees, reality stars, and city influencers, opportunities are sure to be endless with such efforts.

“Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” star and musician Tabius Tate says his purpose of attending the event was more than to support his friends.

“I want to use my influence to empower my peers and the youth. I have a voice, so I want to use it in different lights,” Tate said.

Alexis Branch, from VH1’s “Leave It To Stevie,” too believes that focusing on helping and loving each other is essential. Branch tries to lead her life with love on a daily basis.

“Giving back is my way to show my appreciation,” Branch said.

Love & Give Back also allowed young stars to showcase their talent.

Kierra Douglas from “WAGS Atlanta” along with her sister, Ariel Anderson, lives by the creed “to whom much is given, much is required.” The duo owns Just Dance Studio. They both said that they are blessed to be able to give back.

“We pride ourselves, and our brand in being positive role models that uplift and empower those around us,” Douglas said.

The event was packed out thanks to everyone donating to a good cause and according to ZaRio, “it’s going to take all of us to contribute to the change we desire to see,” he said.
