2018 ESPY Awards best and worst dressed

Lolo Jones at the ESPYS (Photo Credit: A.R. Shaw)

The ESPYS is an award show that brings together celebrities in music, film, and comedy with top-ranked athletes in a celebration of sports and culture. If you love sports, this is a show you do not want to miss, as it celebrates the best in athletics and honors those who are courageous and inspiring.  The show was held last night at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

When it comes to fashion and sports, the worlds don’t often collide, but they did. The night began on the red carpet. Here are the best and worst dressed from this year’s ESPY Awards.

Best Dressed

I love this simple, long, black gown on Lolo Jones (above).

Draya at the ESPYS (Photo Credit: A.R. Shaw)

Draya always slays. This is such a beautiful silk slip gown. I love that she adds some edge to this soft look with these crystal glasses.

Orlando Scandrick at the ESPYS (Photo Credit: A.R. Shaw)

Floral on men can be a disaster, but Scandrick pulls this off very well. I love that this piece is casual like a tracksuit and dressy like a suit at the same time.

Trevor Jackson at the ESPYS (Photo Credit: A.R. Shaw)

I really like Trevor Jackson’s sense of style. He is known for rocking the unbuttoned shirt look and it works for him.

Ciara and Russell Wilson (Photo Credit: A.R. Shaw)

Ciara and Russell Wilson are the “It Couple” and I’m loving everything they do. Ciara looks gorgeous in this yellow gown and Russell is keeping it clean cut in a nice blue tailored suit.

Von Miller at the ESPYS (Photo Credit: A.R.Shaw)

Von Miller’s outfit is a good mix between dressing well and showing off athletic swag. He’s sporting a nice suit and accessorizes with his chains and this nice wide brim hat.

Terrell Owens at the ESPYS (Photo Credit: A.R. Shaw)

Terrel Ownes has a great sense of style; he is always dressed very well. I like that he always keeps it classic in a nice tailored suit.

Laila Ali and Curtis Conway at the ESPYS (Photo Credit: A.R. Shaw)

Laila Ali and Curtis Conway are keeping it classic and clean. She is wearing a simple black dress. He is wearing a nice navy blue suit accented with a black shirt to coordinate with her. They look very nice together.

Worst Dressed:

Jalen Mills at the ESPYS (Photo Credit: A.R. Shaw

I am really not feeling his look, from the shirtless suit to the green hair I think it is a mess. I like the suit minus the vest, but I think it’s poor execution.

Geno Smith at the ESPYS (Photo Credit: A.R. Shaw)

I am not a fan of suits with shorts instead of pants. I love the color of the suit, but the shorts and the black socks are really throwing the outfit off.

Rod Mcleod at the ESPYS (Photo Credit: A.R. Shaw)

I think this outfit was all wrong, from him being shirtless to the vintage purple suit.

Nick Young at the ESPYS (Photo Credit; A.R. Shaw)

Nick Young looks like he just hopped out of bed. The floral shirt and metallic silk pants are two different looks that shouldn’t be mixed.

JaVale McGee at the ESPYS (Photo Credit: A.R. Shaw)

This is an instance where menswear and floral clash. The fanny pack around the waist of the suit jacket disrupts the sleek look that a suit should have.
