Music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs is said to be devastated by the premature and inexplicable death of ex-girlfriend Kim Porter, the mother of three of his children. But he finally gathered the strength to speak about her publicly.

While he is in the midst of grieving and healing, the Bad Boy Records CEO is trying to keep Porter’s life and legacy alive. On social media Sunday night, Puff Daddy went to Instagram to pay homage to Porter by sharing an intimate moment they shared when she was pregnant with his twins.

“Diddy is inconsolable,” the insider told US Weekly. “Kim’s passing has turned his life upside down.”

The source described the pair as soulmates, even though they had broken up long ago.

“Kim and Diddy didn’t always see eye-to-eye on things, but their love for their children and the deep respect they had for each other trumped any issue they had,” the source says. “They were on very good terms in recent years. She was a ‘ride or die’ and very loyal to Diddy.”

“Kim treated all of Diddy’s children like her own — not just the ones they shared — which makes the situation even more devastating,” the insider tells US Weekly. “Diddy values family over everything in his life. He sees his children as an extension of himself. [They are] his proudest achievement, and he has deep connections to them individually.”

Here’s what Diddy posted on his Instagram:

Meanwhile, in his time of need, Diddy has been able to turn to former girlfriend Cassie for support, according to E! News. After reportedly breaking up a month before Porter’s passing, Diddy and Cassie were seen stepping out in Los Angeles.

Diddy and Cassie had dated on and off for 11 years before the latest breakup, which seemed to be permanent.

An inside source told E! News that the “Me and You” singer “reached out to Diddy” by “sending him a text message checking up on him and expressing her condolences” following Porter’s transition.

Diddy was said to be “pleasantly surprised” that Cassie reached out after what they had just been through, and he was “very touched by her thoughtful text.”
