Rozanda “Chilli” Thomas, 48, is a member of one of the best-selling girl groups of all time as TLC gave us multiple classics like “Waterfalls,” “Aint 2 Proud 2 Beg,” “Baby,” “Red Light Special,” and many others in the 1990s.
But Chilli ran afoul of Black Twitter ethics when she brazenly shot down the fan in this Twitter response for rudely saying that the fan looks nothing like her.
Long straight/wavy hair n similar skin tone doesn't mean u look like someone. Ur a doll but we don't look alike:) https://t.co/JrEoX4Uzaj

The fan came back and tried to diffuse the situation by saying she didn’t say she looked like Chilli, but that folks in the streets kept bringing up Chilli as a celebrity that she reminds them of.
Woah y’all all making it seem like I said that I look like her😭 I said people tell me ! I look like myself in my opinion 💯

Fans executed mob justice on Chilli for having the audacity to shoot down the fan with such disdain, and deemed her behavior as mean-spirited and unnecessary.
“Never in my young life as a TLC fan did I think that Chilli would be so f—– whack, but every time she has the opportunity to show her true personality it’s a–. Her (lol) dating show, Girls Cruise, twitter. God ‘hearing’ celebs speak is so disappointing.”
Check out a sampling of the other disapproving responses, though some Twitter users said that Chilli was not wrong for what she said, even if they disagreed with how she framed the responses.
Some “celebrities” are nice & some aren’t, so just keep it moving. Classy celebrities, even if they didn’t see the resemblance, would just appreciated the flattery or not respond at all. You definitely resemble her…you’re just a shade or two lighter.

Yes. You're beautiful and fresh. Don't compare yourself with old chicken.

I was nodding and agreeing. Then I realized that it’s CHILLI that said it to her! I almost dropped to the floor pic.twitter.com/0meHRObTH4

Yes. That’s exactly what your original tweet says. No need to explain, really. You indirectly complimented someone and it went L-E-F-T. For no reason… and fast. pic.twitter.com/ozgAqRRL9O

Somebody said “Chilli went mad hard for nothing, she should have went that hard with her career” 😂

Now I know never to say “people use to tell me I look like chilli when I was young” lol pic.twitter.com/6NTlQIcCTM

Chilli said, “You cute, but I don’t think y’all look like me,” and y’all are really giving her hell for that. Y’all are weird.

Lemme get this straight.. some ppl are mad at @officialchilli for telling ppl who don’t look like her, that they don’t look like her… THE SAME PPL who, if Chilli were to say those people do look like her, would be in the comments saying “now you know she don’t look like you” pic.twitter.com/o2igrREwoN
