CurlFest came to Atlanta to celebrate, empower and uplift Black women

Melody Henderson CurlFest creative director added, “You may think that Atlanta doesn’t need this because it already has this history, but we felt with what we were able to curate that there was a space and a void here as well. When we first decided where we should go we went back to our fans and we polled.

When asked about the possibility for CurlFest HBCU tour “There is definitely an opportunity for that because the HBCU community is our community too, said Gia Lowe Director of Partnerships for CurlFest.“

Naturals everywhere can rejoice as the Curly Girl Collective has ensured us that they will continue to grow and expand this platform to different destinations to meet the needs of the community.
