Rep. Elijah Cummings’ death has resonated across the country. On Thursday, Oct. 17, Rep. Cummings died at age 68. Cummings represented Maryland’s 7th District in Congress since 1996.

He also served as chair of the Oversight Committee that had been investigating President Donald Trump regarding several issues and was an advocate for reforming criminal justice, cutting prescription drug prices, and fighting addiction.
