Before season 12 of the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” premiered in November, the media reported the presence of a “snake” among the cast members.
A mutual acquaintance of both NeNe Leakes and Cynthia Bailey leaked the secret recording of Bailey slamming Leakes and then shared the recording with Leakes.
“That person needs to step up, because you need to be a sly dog and a little snake in front of everybody,” returning star Kenya Moore said during the latest “RHOA” episode. “Don’t bring it up unless you can really show the receipts.”
Leakes, 51, broached the topic of the secret audio during a lunch with Kandi Burruss in an effort to paint Bailey as a two-faced scumbag.
“I don’t care what Cynthia has said, I’m just telling you that she has,” Leakes told Burruss. “Not only that, she spoke to someone else that we both know in common and talked about me like a dog and unfortunately for her, they recorded everything she said.”
“There is some sort of audio of Cynthia saying really horrible things about me,” Leakes added that she will not divulge the identity of the person who ratted out Bailey.
But Burruss was hesitant to get in the middle of Leakes and Bailey’s beef. “Oh Lord,” she said, adding: “OK, child, I’m not getting into that one.”
“She has the receipts. I just didn’t want to hear all the receipts,” Burruss later said.
Burruss, 43, however, did inject herself into the mess by going back and telling Bailey about the recording.
