When you look at the movie poster for one of the most controversial movies of 2019, Queen and Slim, you can’t help but recognize the snake print boots worn by actress Jodie Turner-Smith (Queen).

Smith’s boots appeared throughout the film that follows her and Daniel Kaluuya’s (Slim) long journey on the run to avoid apprehension.

The calf-length snakeskin boots are Brother Vellies, a sustainable African footwear brand founded by the Black female designer Aurora James.

Snakeprint was definitely a huge fashion trend this year even catching the eye of music legend Beyoncé.

We know Queen Bey is all about supporting female creatives so seeing her attend the Queen and Slim premier to support Melina Matsoukas and Lena Waithe wearing the same Brother Vellies boots was a great surprise.

She donned an army green Balmain Resort 2020 jacket over a matching dress with a ruched waist, matching Balmain bag and the Palms boots as she posed for pictures at the premiere.

Now that both Queen and Beyoncé have made a statement in these Brother Vellies snakeskin boots were sure the trend will be engraved in fashion history.

You could be the next queen to rock these iconic sustainably made boots for $750.

The boots are available for pre-order on the website www.brothervellies.com.
