What was it like performing with Roddy Ricch?

I was excited, a little overwhelmed, and a little nervous. Just getting up there on stage with him was just a blessing. I had a lot of fun.

What inspired you to create Saxtapes 2?

I just wanted to put together a body of work for my supporters and my fans. You can find both of them on SoundCloud.

What do you want young people to take away about the future of jazz music from listening to you?

The main thing that I want people to take away is just the fact that you can be yourself, 100 percent. I’m still stepping into me and learning and growing as I go. People get caught up in trying to be a certain way for social media. With such a classical jazz instrument I’m trying to do my thing by adding a little hip-hop to it and stuff like that. You can be yourself 100 percent.
