Waka Flocka Flame may have a few bangers under his belt, but the Atlanta rapper has been known to help out his community and uplift the youth in his spare time as well. The “Hard In Da Paint” rapper has been honored for his humanitarian efforts and was presented a Lifetime Achievement Award in Atlanta from the former Trump administration.

According to TMZ, Waka received his award on Friday, April 16, 2021, for his volunteer work with the Chicago nonprofit Daughter of Destiny. Daughter of Destiny is an outreach program helping women by providing employment, food, housing, community and inner healing.

Trump signed the award, which is courtesy of AmeriCorps, before leaving office in January. “I just want to thank President Trump for recognizing me. I want to thank Bridget and everybody that loves me back and allowed me to do everything that I wanted to do that was generous,” a humbled Waka stated.

Waka’s pastor and mentor, Apostle Bridget C. Outlaw, presented the award to him, which included a medal and certificate. “Waka is a very humble, humble person,” Outlaw added. “I’m just really excited about just being here, giving him this award.”

The certificate bears Waka’s real name, Juaquin James Malphurs, and commemorates his “lifelong commitment to building a stronger nation through volunteer service.”  The “O’ Let’s Do It” creator received an honorary doctorate from the Bible Institute of American Theological Seminary in October 2020, which is why the certificate states “Dr.”  Waka Flocka was honored for his philanthropy and humanitarianism endeavors from the school.

In the past, Waka’s mother, music executive Deb Antney, publicly supported Trump.  Check out Waka Flocka receiving his award and medal on the following page.
