Black Houston child dead for 11 months before mom, boyfriend arrested

On the scene, Harris County deputies reportedly found the 15-year-old in addition to 10 and 7-year-old males in the apartment, all of whom appeared to be malnourished and suffering from injuries. Williams reportedly previously gave up the rights to her two daughters. Williams and Coulter lived 15 minutes away from the children.

The 15-year-old provided food for his brothers thanks to his neighbors. The neighbors didn’t know the children were living alone. One neighbor said the 15-year-old refused cooked food and only accepted snacks due to paranoia of getting poisoned.

Despite the delayed discovery on officials from the apartment complex and local law enforcement, Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez released an optimistic statement on his social media pages following the arrests.

“Phenomenal work by all our team members involved in this investigation,” Gonzalez’s statement read. “May the deceased child Rest In Peace. May the other children receive the love, healing, and support they need and deserve.”

Coulter’s bond was set at $1 million on Oct. 27, and he’s currently in a mental health facility, according to KHOU. If he is bonded out, he is forbidden to contact the children or Williams. Coulter would also be under a 24-hour monitor and would be forbidden to leave Harris County. Williams was also scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 27.
