Adorned in Taji creates beautiful jewelry that heals and inspires

Being a healing arts jeweler chose me. I started creating adornments to assist my mother with launching her business – I had already been an entrepreneur for 8 years as a photographer. My mother became busy with other life tasks, but I found so much peace in handmaking adornments; it was therapeutic for me. I studied the potential healing, abundance, and protective benefits of gemstones, copper, and cowrie shells as I was adorning clients and discovered a whole world that I previously was only partly familiar with.

Explain how doing this work has contributed to who you are today.

I have learned that I love to assist my people with being their best selves. I’ve always been community-oriented but amplifying the esteem of my clients gets me excited. I also love the alchemy of transforming raw materials into eye-popping, scroll-stopping wearable art.

I went on a personal journey of believing in myself, solidifying my worth, and manifesting my goals. If did it, I know others can as well. I focus on what a person needs in their life at the moment – peace, healing, love, wealth, etc. – and recommend adornments that assist with those needs. The joy that I feel from testimonials is truly unmatched and aids in my growth.

One of my biggest goals is to employ a Black staff. I want to assist Black families with sustainability and generational wealth as the result of a work environment that is uplifting and inspiring.

Can you provide examples of individuals who have benefited from your work?

I have a tribe of clients living with alopecia who are most grateful for adornments that add to their feminine appeal. They particularly love the crowns because they are another option to dress their baldies in addition to headwraps and wigs. Most complain that wigs can be hot and/or itchy but the crowns make them feel like the beautiful Goddesses that they are and help them to love the way they look when standing in front of the mirror.
