Rihanna, who is 34, was recently named by Forbes on its 2022 list of  “America’s Richest Self-Made Women,” after hitting the $1.4 billion net worth mark. She’s also become her native Barbados’ first billionaire.

As of July 6, Rihanna ranks No. 21 on the Forbes list.

Rihanna is the co-owner of Fenty Beauty and a stakeholder in the Savage x Fenty lingerie line. The singer has had an eventful year so far, also welcoming her first child with rapper A$AP Rocky.

Before Rihanna, Kylie Jenner was previously the youngest female self-made billionaire. Jenner is no longer considered a billionaire by Forbes and now ranks No. 41 on the list.

In a 2019 interview with New York Times Magazine, Rihanna shared that she wanted to use her fortune to help others.

“My money is not for me, it’s always the thought that I can help someone else,” Rihanna said in the interview. “The world can really make you believe that the wrong things are the priority, and it makes you really miss the core of life, what it means to be alive.”
