The Every Body Campaign launched by SisterSong, a national organization whose mission is to improve reproductive health access, recently collaborated with beauty brand Saie to raise money and awareness. These two brands will merge 35 beauty brands like Elf Beauty, Josie Maran, and more in green packaging inspired by the reproductive rights protests to collect proceeds for SisterSong.

The founder of Saie, Laney Crowell, slid into the DMs of Monica Simpson, the executive director of SisterSong, to ask about the possibility of collaborating after hearing her speak during a Zoom event. These two collectively gathered the best-selling beauty products and embarked on this new campaign that began on Oct. 25, 2022.

The CDC reported that women of color would continue to be impacted by the overturning of Roe v. Wade because women of color already face overwhelming obstacles in health care accsss. The reversal of this law allows decision-makers to decide whether an abortion is legal or not in their state. More Black women live in states that will likely ban abortions, especially those living in the South.

SisterSong’s mission is to “strengthen and amplify the collective voices of indigenous women and women of color to achieve reproductive justice by eradicating reproductive oppression and securing human rights.”

This campaign is the beginning of change and reform for women’s health care.
