How North Carolina rapper $hyfromdatre is changing the rap game

$hyfromdatre

$hyfromdatre was a performer for UnitedMasters x Ally Financial Earn Your Masters showcase on March 17. The artist spoke with rolling out about what makes her stand out from other artists and how UnitedMasters has helped her.

Where are you from and what song should we be listening to from you?

I’m from Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Everybody should be streaming my hit single “6000 degrees.” It’s taking off and we’re going up with it.

How has UnitedMasters helped you protect your masters?

If I have any questions, I know I can hit them up and they’ll help me with whatever. Overall, they’re dope.

What makes you stand out from other artists?

I feel like my sound is different from a lot of females because when I’m rapping, it’s really me. I don’t get on a track and say a bunch of bulls—. I rap what I’m living and feeling. I put a lot of emotion in my music and rap with aggression, which is why I think my sound is different from other people. The girls are doing their thing, and I like how they’re taking over.

If you could pick one person to be on a song with, who would it be?

I have a couple. Of course, Nicki Minaj and I love Kodak Black.
