Rich the Kid had a serious run in with authorities in Miami on Monday morning and was arrested on a number of charges including trespassing and resisting an officer without violence.
Born, Dimitri Roger, the 31-year-old rapper was reportedly trying to get back to his hotel when he happened upon a police perimeter that was blocked off due to a bomb threat in the area. After an officer informed him there was an active investigation going on at the moment and that crossing the tape would result in his arrest, Rich reportedly told the officer, “I’ll bond out in 20 minutes,” and proceeded to enter the restricted area.
According to the arrest affidavit, after disobeying officers orders to not go under the tape and ignoring their commands to stop, the “Feelin’ Like Tunechi” rapper then continued to walk away from the officers and proceeded to the rear of the property where he was again stopped, this time by security, and informed again he wasn’t allowed there because of the police investigation.
Roger reportedly responded to the security office and told him to “stop him” before scaling the fence onto the property and walking into the hotel while authorities were carrying out a K-9 unit sweep of the grounds.
Police inside the hotel ordered the rapper to leave the premises immediately but he continued to “linger” in the area before authorities made good on their promise and took him into custody without further incident.
Rich The Kid was then transported to the Miami Beach Police headquarters where he was booked and processed.
