Vanessa Bryant has unveiled a stunning design for the LA 2028 Olympics, inspired by her late husband, Kobe Bryant. The announcement, shared on social media on Aug. 12, showcases a striking purple and gold snake-skin “A,” featuring the iconic Mamba logo at its center. This design pays homage to Kobe’s legacy as a Los Angeles Laker and embodies his renowned Mamba Mentality.

In an announcement video, Vanessa expressed her pride in Kobe’s Olympic achievements. Vanessa reminisced about watching Kobe win gold medals in the 2008 Beijing and 2012 London Olympics, highlighting his significant role in bringing the games to Los Angeles. She noted that Kobe was an important advocate in bringing the Olympics to Los Angeles because of his love for the city.

The video also featured a nostalgic clip of Kobe discussing why Los Angeles was the perfect host city for the Olympics. He stated that many icons from many different fields come from the city.

Kobe Bryant tragically died in a helicopter accident in 2020, leaving behind a legacy that continues to inspire. Vanessa Bryant concluded her announcement with a heartfelt message: “We hope this inspires the Mamba Mentality in every aspiring Olympian and Paralympian. We’re so proud to see this emblem represent the Los Angeles Games. I know Kobe would be so proud to host the Games in this great city.”
