'Rolling Out' Honors Best and Brightest Atlanta Entrepreneurs 2012

On Tuesday, September 25, 2012- rolling out recognized five of Atlanta’s leading and most innovative entrepreneurs as part of the MillerCoors Urban Entrepreneur Series (MUES), a national business plan competition that has awarded nearly two million dollars in grants and to announce an extension to the 13-year-old program – the new Consumer’s Choice Award.

Terry Brantley, commercial real estate developer; Mose James, owner, The OMG Booth; and The Konsole Kingz, Hip Hop gaming pioneers; and Natalie Michon, co-owner, Michon’s Smoked Meats and Seafood Restaurant were the evening’s honorees.

“The best and brightest program highlights individuals who have companies, services and products that speak to the future and ingenuity in our community. This year’s eco-friendly entrepreneur is Terry Brantley (who is retro-fitting lighting and performing green analyses for corporations); gaming entrepreneurs at Konsole Kingz (individuals who program and have the skillset to work with diversity departments at Fortune 500 companies); restaurateur Michon’s and digital imaging entrepreneur Mose James,” said Munson Steed, publisher and CEO of rolling out.

The evening emcee was on-air personality Ryan Cameron, V-103, with Steed offering greetings to the crowd that filled Red Lounge.

“These businesses are examples of those that are a part of the MUES program. They are the best and brightest, highlighting entrepreneurial skills, products and services of the automated and computerized future,” continued Steed.

With MUES’ new Consumer’s Choice Award, one of the six winners will be chosen by a consumer vote, a new component that allows finalists the opportunity to engage their social networks, and MillerCoors will continue to support entrepreneurship by awarding up to $150,000 in business grants to five promising entrepreneurs.

This year’s top winner will be awarded a $50,000 business grant. Up to four other top finalists will each receive $25,000 grants, and one consumer-voted entrepreneur from the selected finalists will be awarded a $10,000 business development grant. The competition is open to all participants who are age 21 and older. –yvette caslin
