Pooch Hall’s ‘The Game’ Replacement Revealed

Pooch Hall's 'The Game' Replacement Revealed

The man who’ll fill the void left by Pooch Hall on BET’s “The Game” has been revealed. As previously reported, fans of the sitcom were disappointed in May after learning that its two primary characters, Derwin and Melanie, would be replaced. Both Tia Mowry and her co-star, Pooch Hall, decided to leave the program citing contractual issues.

With two spots left open, producers for the program were said to be scrambling to find replacements and decided to introduce two new characters. Since then, Lauren London’s been announced as the first new addition to the program. The ATL actress will play Kiera, a former child star and sitcom actress. Following that there were reports that the role of Kiera’s significant other was up for grabs, reports that apparently rang true.

According to IndieWire, actor Jay Ellis will play Bryce “The Blueprint” on the television show that will return for season six this fall. Bryce “The Blueprint” or Blue for short will not only be Kiera’s boyfriend, but a Heisman Trophy-winning Ivy league grad and NFL No. 1 draft pick. And while Ellis seems virtually unknown, he’s appeared in several shows and films. Most recently the South Carolina native wrapped the movie Election Eve and made an appearance on “How I Met Your Mother.”
