Anacostia Community Museum announces its first After Dark series of 2024. Join us on Thursday July 25 from 7pm -10pm.
This summertime themed event will allow you after-hours access to our newest exhibition, A Bold and Beautiful Vision: A Century of Black Art Education in Washington DC, 1900 – 2000. During your visit, listen to curated vibes by DJ Farrah Flosscett and participate in a guided art experience by artist and instructor, Lex Marie called “Luminous Landscapes: A Neon Night of Art. A unique beginner painting session that immerses you in a vibrant, glow-in-the-dark art experience. Under the enchanting illumination of black lights, you’ll explore the magic of both regular and glow- in-the-dark paints. You will create stunning neon landscapes inspired by the natural beauty of the surrounding environment.
Night BBQ Foods and King of Pop Popsicles are available while supplies last. This is a 21+ event.
