The IRS is hiring for experienced and entry-level accountants for our Revenue Agent position for the New York City area. This event is hosted by the Tax Exempt Government Entities Division.
Please schedule your preferred in-person interview time between 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM EDT (last interview appointment time is 2:30 PM) by clicking on the “Get tickets” link.
LIMIT of one registration time slot per person
In-Person Interviews are being conducted for the following position:
Revenue Agent
Revenue Agents conduct exams, prepare audit statements, assess tax based on audit findings, and educate taxpayers. There is NO age limit. (see “Duties” section for further position expectations)
Revenue Agent candidates must have a certificate as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or a bachelors or higher degree in accounting that included at least 30 semester hours in accounting or 24 semester hours in accounting and an additional 6 semester hours in related subjects such as business law, economics, statistical/quantitative methods, computerized accounting or financial systems, financial management, or finance (see “Qualifications” section for further/varying qualifying factors)
