Malandain Ballet Biarritz has become one of the most important companies of the French choreographic landscape. This original production combines Antonio Vivaldiโs famous Four Seasons and the little-known works of his contemporary and compatriot Giovanni Antonio Guido. Guidoโs Seasons awakens memories of ยซbelle danseยป (baroque dance), which emerged in the seventeenth century from the ideal of governing oneโs body and mind, and moving with grace, accuracy, and lightness. With Vivaldiโs Four Seasons, dancers are moved by a more natural, more human form of dance.
