Save the Date: IWD 2024~ A Global Celebration of Safe Motherhood
Join us for an incredible evening at the Weisman Art Museum as we celebrate International Women’s Day 2024 with a global event dedicated to safe motherhood. This in-person gathering will take place on Thursday, March 14, 2024, starting at 5:00 PM (CST).
Approximately 830 women die every day in childbirth; ninety-four percent in developing countries. Disparities in women’s health outcomes are the result of social, cultural, political, and systemic barriers which can and should be prevented. The Global Women’s Health program at the Center for Global Health and Social Responsibility (CGHSR) is committed to building a world where every woman can achieve her full potential, no matter the lottery of her birth.
Get ready to be inspired by the debut of our new short film, engaging speakers, and a feature from our global partners, all centered around the importance of ensuring safe motherhood for women worldwide. This event aims to raise awareness, foster dialogue, and promote action towards creating a healthier future for mothers everywhere.
Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals and be a part of the movement for safe motherhood and obstetric care. Mark your calendars and stay tuned for more details!
