Youth Mental Health First Aid USA is an international, evidence-based public education program that introduces participants to the unique risk factors and warning signs of mental health problems in adolescents, builds understanding of the importance of early intervention, and teaches individuals how to help an adolescent in crisis or experiencing a mental health challenge.
This in-person learning course covers the risk factors and warning signs of a variety of mental health challenges common among adolescents and teaches participants a 5-step action plan for how to help young people in both crisis and non-crisis situations. Participants who complete the full course receive a certificate valid for 3 years.
