Chris Brown Sick of Rihanna Talking About the Beat Down

Chris Brown has had it. The R&B superstar is sick and tired of Rihanna talking about the infamous beat down in Los Angeles more than three years ago.

As you recall, Brown practically changed colors because he was doused by the acid-tinged words that came from a legion of detractors for the domestic assault against his former lover that led him to plead guilty to felony battery charges and be excoriated from coast to coast.

A popular blog has reported that he is bewildered by Rihanna’s and others’ propensity to pick and re-pick at that healing scab that changed the trajectory of both of their lives.

“Chris is just confused about Rihanna’s decision to bring up the past again and again — this time in an interview with Oprah,” a source tells radaronline.com. “Rihanna has previously given wide ranging interviews about the beating to Diane Sawyer and several print magazines. Chris just doesn’t think it’s productive or relevant to rehash the events since essentially nothing new is being revealed in the interview Rihanna has done with Oprah. Chris doesn’t begrudge Rihanna at all for talking about it but he thinks that in order for them to both move forward and not be defined by that one night, it would be better to stop bringing it up.”

Initially, RiRi was very protective of Brown as he collapsed under the torrential downpour of criticism.

“It was embarrassing, it was humiliating,” the sobbing golden-toned singer told Oprah about the falling-out. “I lost my best friend — everything I knew switched — switched in a night and I couldn’t control that … it’s not easy for me to interpret — it’s not easy to interpret on camera with the world watching.”

Sources confide to Radar what is obvious to millions of music fans: they still possess a forbidden attraction to one another.

“Rihanna and Chris have spoken since she did her interview with Oprah,” the insider reveals. “They have a very complicated and intense relationship even though Chris has a girlfriend. The fact is, Chris and Rihanna just can’t stay away from each other. There is a lot of love there — it’s definitely not a healthy situation for either one of them.”

Supporters of Breezy decry the endless excavation of this once-buried circumstance. And, with the exception of the ratings boon to Oprah’s flailing OWN network, there is doubt that this TV interview did anything to benefit the interviewee, Rihanna, nor the subject of the discussion, Brown.
