Lil Wayne Pulls Nicki Minaj From Hot 97 Summer Jam Concert Over Diss

YMCMB star Nicki Minaj was set to rule the stage yesterday at Hot 97’s annual Summer Jam concert. But after an insulting diss from the radio giant, Lil Wayne decided to abruptly pull his Young Money soldier from the show just hours before her performances.

Earlier in the day, Minaj was excited about her ill-fated performance and wrote about it on Twitter.

“History will be made @ Hot97 Summer Jam tonight. I really hope you’re there to witness it,” wrote Minaj.

However, things quickly changed. Before Minaj hit the stage, Hot 97 radio personality Peter Rosenberg voiced his disdain for her hit, “Starships,” telling the crowd that the song is “wack,” and adding that she was was no longer “real hip-hop.”

Well, Young Money’s commander in chief didn’t take too kindly to Rosenberg’s words and promptly pulled Minaj and Tyga, who had already hit the stage once, from the concert.

“Young Money ain’t doing summer jam,” Wayne wrote briefly on Sunday.

“Wow. U ni–az just f—ed up history. But the President has spoken. #YMCMB,” she wrote after Wayne announced they they’d be pulling out of the show. “I go above and beyond for my fans. But won’t ever go against wayne’s word. What he says, goes. Had a HELL of a f—ing lineup. But we won’t b disrespected.”

Young Money act Jae Millz also chimed in, writing,  @JAE_MILLZ “Radio personality with NO personality… & u ain’t even black…” which prompted Minaj to respond, “Not blak but on blak radio dissin blak women.”

But this isn’t YMCMB’s first concert setback. Check out other YMCMB concert fiascos below. –nicholas robinson
