Lil Wayne Disses Jay-Z, Beyoncé on New Track, Jadakiss Denies Involvement

Jay-Z and Lil Wayne made headlines earlier this when the Roc Nation emcee threw a thinly veiled diss Wayne’s way on the initial Watch The Throne leak “H.A.M.” Athough Wayne initially brushed off the jab, the Young Money general has now fired back at Jay-Z, dissing him and his wife Beyoncé on his latest track, “It’s Good.”

The rumblings of a feud first began when Jay-Z took shots at Lil Wayne and Cash Money Records CEO Birdman on “H.A.M,” rapping, “I’m like really half a billi n—a, Really you got baby money / Keep it real with n—as, N—as aint got my lady money.”

Following the song’s release, both Wayne and Birdman dismissed the diss and in an interview with “RapFix Live,” Wayne commented that there was no beef between he and Jay-Z, but that he would respond to the diss.

“Um. Me and my wit, given my wit, I would probably play off of it, but I wouldn’t make it a competition because actually the subject that he’s talking about in that line, I can’t box with the god, I’d be the first one to tell you that. Given my wit, and the type of person that I am, I’d capitalize and I’d play off of it. Yeah, I definitely would,” said Wayne.

And now Wayne has made good on his word. On the Drake and Jadakiss-assisted track “It’s Good,” from his upcoming album, Tha Carter IV, which leaked online Aug. 24, Wayne spits a vicious and direct response to Jigga’s diss:

“Talkin’ ‘bout baby money, I gotcha baby money / Kidnap your b—h get that how much you love your lady money / I know you fake, n—a / Press your brakes, n—a / I’ll take you out, that’s a date, n—a / I’m a grown a– blood, stop playing with me / Play a–hole, and get an a– whippin’ / I think you pussycat, hello kitty,” rapped Wayne.

Although it’s unclear whether Wayne’s lyrical grenade is just a play for publicity or the initial blast in a full out rap war, Wayne’s collaborator, Jadakiss, recently took to Twitter to wash his hands of the situation, announcing that he’s steering clear of any potential beef between the two rappers.

“Yall hating a– c–ksuckers better chill..they only sent me a track wit NO verses and I recorded that verse 3 months ago! #leavemeoutofit,” tweeted Jadakiss, adding, “When I DISS n—as or have a problem Wit ANY RAPPER I SAY THere NAMES without hesitation and YALL know this already!”

Regardless of his true intentions, Wayne is clearly building up major steam for the Aug. 29 release of Tha Carter IV album. Stay tuned as this story develops. –nicholas robinson
