Rick Ross Health Update

They don’t call rapper Rick Ross the Teflon Don for nothing. After suffering two seizures and being hospitalized twice on Oct. 14 while en route to a performance in Memphis, Tenn., the tough as nails emcee was finally released from a Birmingham, Ala., hospital over the weekend.

At around 9:30 p.m. on Oct. 16, Ross’s DJ, Sam Sneaker, tweeted a photo of a healthy looking Ross with the message, “The Boss is good…@rickyrozay #MMG.”

At around the same time, Ross’s pal DJ Khaled tweeted a similar photo of himself, Ross Maybach Music Group’s Gucci Pucci standing outside of Ross’s wing shop in Memphis, his original point of destination before the medical emergencies.

Along with the picture, Khaled wrote, “My brother ROZAY!!IS GOOD!!! @rickyrozay @Iamguccipucci #powercircle.”

Just two days prior, Ross’s health seemed to be spiraling out of control as he suffered the first of two seizures, early Friday morning shortly after a flight from Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., to Memphis took off. The plane was forced to make an emergency landing while a doctor onboard administered CPR. Ross was then rushed to local hospital for treatment. Shortly afterwards, at around 5 p.m., a seemingly better Ross was released from the hospital and boarded a private jet, even tweeting a video of himself from the plane.

However, just around 40 minutes later, Ricky Rozay, fell unconscious again after suffering a second seizure and his private plane was forced to make an emergency landing in Birmingham, where he was rushed to a local emergency room for treatment. Following his seizures, Ross’s performance were canceled.

While Ross was in treatment, many of his hip-hop friend’s sent out well-wishes to the hospitalized rapper,

“We actually been talking about him and praying for him on the trailer because he’s such a crucial part of hip-hop right now and we’re just hoping he’s healthy. That’s all we can do is pray and hope that he gets some rest and comes back stronger,” said rapper Nicki Minaj, with her Cash Money boss, Birdman, adding, “Ross is a friend of the family I sure hopes he’s alright,”

A Tribe Called Quest’s Q-Tip also shared his prayers for Ross’s swift recovery. “Prayers up 4 @rickyrozay homie rest up. Your health is bigger than bizness,” tweeted Q-Tip.

Even Ross’s longtime enemy, 50 Cent, tweeted kind words for the rapper. “Yea he gotta take care his self,” said 50 Cent in response to a question from a fan about Ross’s condition.

We’re happy Ross is feeling better but we second 50 Cent and Q-Tip’s tweets. Hopefully, Ross will become a better Bawse at managing his health and not just his growing music empire. –nicholas robinson
