Rihanna Gets Warning From Doctors

Earlier this week, fans were shocked to learn that pop princess Rihanna had been hospitalized with a case of the flu. And while many assumed that Rihanna’s health issues were over, reports are now claiming that doctors are concerned that the singer’s partying lifestyle is to blame for her recent illness and have advised the singer to cut back on her rock star nights.

It’s no secret that Rihanna is one of the pop world’s premier party girls, even recording the song “Cheers (Drink to This)” in honor of her love for the night life. But apparently the Bajan beauty is taking her partying a little too far. U.K.’s The Sun is reporting that Rihanna has been downing tequila shots every other night during her “Loud” tour and once each show is done, she’s been hitting the studio to record for her new album, Talk That Talk, until 8:00 a.m.

“Rihanna is running on empty but she’s still been going out drinking and living it up,” said a source. “She doesn’t have any down time where she can completely relax. She spends most of her time in the studio, on stage or in clubs.”

The source added, “Doctors are worried she’s overdoing it. She needs to take some time off. Otherwise she’ll be vulnerable to more illness.”

Rihanna’s doctors have reportedly advised to the singer to avoid nightclubs and bars and as well as curb her drinking so that she can reduce the risk of any further illness.

Though Rihanna has had some time off from her busy work schedule since canceling a recent show in Sweden due to her hospitalization, the singer is scheduled to return to the tour on Nov. 13 at London’s O2 Arena. Rihanna will perform 15 more shows throughout  Britain before the tour ends at Christmas. During that time, Rihanna will also release her latest studio album, Talk That Talk, which hits stores on Nov. 21.

Exactly when Rihanna will find the time to relax during the next few months is unclear, but for her sake, she should consider getting some rest instead of grabbing a drink or hitting a party, lest she end up with a terrifying wake-up call like Rick Ross. –nicholas robinson
