Each week, a new peak pose and class intention guide the practice. Advanced variations as well as inversions are offered in every class. The company’s mission? To revolutionize the yoga industry and to revolutionize your practice, one beat, one breath, one movement at a time.
History
Established in 2014.
Ever dream of a yoga experience that feels indulgent and transformative? Like an all-inclusive retreat with everything taken care of, so you can turn off, to turn on? Ritual has created just that. The studio is all-inclusive, equipped with showers, lockers, mats, towels, water, and essential oils to enhance the experience. The class encompasses flow, balance, core, and yin while weaving in yoga philosophy and spirituality. The practice is book-ended with a meditation at the beginning, and a cool eucalyptus towel at the end. Heat, and candle light add to the ambience as you move and sweat to Ritual’s signature breath, breathing to the beat of the music. Teachers are all trained in the Ritual style, yet add their own flare to their class. You are invited to Create Your Ritual. Breathe to the Beat. Move to the Beat. Sweat to the Beat.
Meet the Business Owner
Lindsey K. says It was one of those euphoric moments: lying in her first savasana, sweaty with bliss, Lindsey realized, “This is what I’m doing with my life!”
At 18, she decided to get a degree in business and teach hot yoga to someday create her own studio. Post college, she moved to Chicago to teach and manage a studio. She loved yoga and business, but burned out rapidly in the chaotic life that is the norm in the industry. In a moment of distress she called her mother claiming, “Yoga ruined my life.” A day later, she made it her mission to revolutionize the yoga industry.
Lindsey opened the first Ritual location in 2014 complete with teachers as full-time employees on salaries with health benefits, sick time, and vacation time. This remains the heart of the studios mission and she believes someday we can help other studios adopt the same model.
“There are people who will go their whole lives without truly living a single day. She did not intend to be one of them.”
