Jay-Z Fined $50,000 by NBA for Contact With College Players

Jay-Z never imagined that a trip to a locker room would be so expensive. The rapper-entrepreneur was fined $50,000 by the NBA for visiting the University of Kentucky’s locker room on the night the team clinched a berth in the NCAA Final Four.

Jay-Z congratulated the team and took pictures. The pics eventually went viral once Kentucky guard Darius Miller posted a pic on his Twitter and Facebook pages.

The NBA discovered the pictures and launched an investigation. Jay-Z, who owns a percentage of the New Jersey Nets, and other NBA personnel are prohibited from having contact with amateur players who are not eligible for the draft. –a.r.
