Tamar Braxton sued for stealing rights to song

Braxton Family Values” star Tamar Braxton is being sued dot.com for allegedly stealing the rights to a song she placed on her debut album, Love and War.

According to TMZ,

“Emmi Kozulin claims she co-wrote “One on One Fun” with Angela Hunte. Kozulin then recorded a version of the song on her own.

Kozulin claims Hunte gave the song to Braxton for her album Love and War. Kozulin admits Hunte had the right to license the lyrics … but Kozulin claims Braxton’s recorded version included vocals from Kozulin’s version … and that crosses the line.”

“As a co-writer of the song, Kozulin is due 50 percent of royalties and damages,” states the lawsuit. But when it comes to the said theft, Braxton’s camp is placing blame elsewhere. “The fight is between the writer and producer … and, “has nothing to do with Tamar.”

Per Kozulin’s Facebook page, she is a former “American Idol” contestant (2009) who later found success as a songwriter. – ruthie hawkins/@ruubabie
