2012’s Best Paying Jobs for Women

If you’re a woman who’s known to be bookish in areas of math and science, you’ll be pleased to know that there are a bevy jobs that may prove to be especially profitable for you. And while women still make only 82 cents for every dollar earned by a man, careers in health care, technology and business are helping to close that gap substantially.

Forbes magazine has released their annual list of the ‘best paying jobs for women.’ Using an analysis conducted by the U.S. Bureau of Labor and Statistics, the mag found 20 jobs where women can make anywhere from $1,200 to nearly $2,000 a week off talent and brain power alone. It’s important to note however that all these careers require post-secondary education, so stay in school ladies!

    Glad to see that gap isn’t so large, but still should get smaller over time. I also can’t emphasize enough the need for secondary education. We have a lot of jobs over at http://canada.workcircle.com but the majority of well paid jobs do go to the better educated.
