Now this is embarrassing.
Sheree Whitfield may have reprised her role on Bravo’s hit reality series “Real Housewives of Atlanta,” but it appears that the long time reality star’s dream of scoring a second reality show on HGTV has been squashed. On January 17, the 46-year-old took to Twitter to gush over allegedly nabbing a new series on the Scripps Network channel, focusing on her nearly 5-year construction project, Chateau Sheree. “It’s time for my spinoff to show the finishing touches on #chateausheree Come on @hgtv,” she tweeted.

But when a fan asked Whitfield what the show was called, she replied, “Must sign the deal first and then I will let you know luv!” This led fans to believe the show wasn’t a concrete deal:

Unfortunately for Whitfield, new reports claim a deal with HGTV is never going to happen. A representative tells Radaronline, “At this time, Sheree does not have a contract with HGTV for a show.” In fact, according to the network, the mother of three was just sharing wishful thinking. “It appears that she is interested in having her own HGTV show to showcase her renovations but we do not have any plans for that currently,” added the rep.
While it’s no secret Whitfield has been working on her home for several years now — some progress has even been documented on “RHOA” — HGTV just isn’t buying what she’s selling. Meanwhile, the socialite and fashion designer has yet to respond to HGTV’s announcement. Would you have liked to see Whitfield’s home project land a small screen slot?
