Allen Iverson is having a difficult week. The former NBA All-Star lost custody of his kids to his ex-wife Tawana Iverson and a judge pointed out his issues with alcoholism. To add insult, Iverson lost his Atlanta mansion to foreclosure on Feb. 5.
The 10,000-square foot mansion is located on West Paces Ferry Road in the Buckhead area. Iverson had the home built and paid $4.5 million for it in 2009, shortly after retiring from the NBA.
Reportedly, the mansion featured six bedrooms and Iverson made several renovations. He turned one room into a closet and dressing area.
Iverson lost the home after defaulting on a $1.2 million mortgage.
There aren’t any indications on what Iverson will do moving forward. The Dallas Mavericks recently offered Iverson a contract with their developmental team, but he declined the offer.
