Actor, “House of Payne”
You can always tell when someone is destined for greatness: perhaps
it’s the look in his eyes, or the confident manner in which he carries
himself. This sort of “detection” of a burgeoning superstar typifies an
encounter with actor Cedric Pendleton. His whit, charm and abundance of
talent have him in line to carry the torch for the next generation of
successful black actors.
“I always knew that I was born to act,” he says. “I never questioned
it. I just always knew that this was the plan for my life, so I
followed it. The rest is history.”
Instead of “the rest” simply being history, it’s actually turned out to
be the beginning for the talented Pendleton. For years, he tirelessly
toiled, making his mark mostly as a dramatic actor. But now as a
mainstay on the TBS comedy “House of Payne,” Pendleton’s immense talent
is reaching millions of viewers.
“The opportunity to work with Tyler Perry has been phenomenal,”
Pendleton explains of his experience working with the entertainment
entrepreneur. “I plan on using this opening as a way to further show
the world the depth of my talent. It would be easy to get complacent
once you land on a sitcom, but this experience has only encouraged me
to work even harder.” –dewayne rogers
