The many styles, colors and textures of African American hair were on
full display at the 2007 Bronner Brothers Hair Show. The Georgia World
Congress Center in Atlanta was transformed into a cavalcade of coifs,
locks, and assorted plumage as hairstylists, models, and hair clients
networked, participated in various styling activities, and sampled
products from various vendors.

“I’ve been modeling for 15 years
and I’m modeling today,” said attendee Clark Jones. “It’s really an
opportunity for blacks to increase their business and keep us promoting
[our] careers.”

This year was an even bigger event than in years past, with celebrities
like actor/comedian Chris Rock walking through the expo, meeting and
greeting fans. Continuing the 60-year legacy of the Bronner Brothers
brand, the Hair Show has become an annual event for stylists and their
clients across the country. Doris Carr, founder of DC Artistry, made
the trek from Richmond, Va., to enjoy the show and meet people. “I like
the exposure,” says Carr. “Coming to the show is a great way to
advertise and learn something new.” –todd williams
