Some of the most influential DJs in America converged in
Dallas for the 3rd Annual Core DJs Retreat 7. The 3-day retreat
featured an awards show, several panel discussions and a new
artist showcase. Notable artists in attendance included Erykah
Badu, Three 6 Mafia, Twista, DJ Drama, Ja Rule, Irv Gotti and DJ
Toomp.

Founded by National Mix Show’s DJ Tony Neal, the Core DJs
Retreat 7 allows music industry executives and artists to network
with premier DJs, the Core DJs Latino and the Core DJs Legends.
“The DJ plays a big part in our music,” says rapper Murphy Lee.
“The first time that we [St. Lunatics] made a song, we took it
straight to the DJs in our city. And before we knew it, we blew up
nationally. DJs help artists get out to the masses and this retreat
helps to bring all parties together.”
