Jermaine Dupri is one of the biggest hitmakers of his generation. With success extending as far back as the early ’90s sensation Kris Kross, the former breakdancer has had the Midas touch and a golden ear for burgeoning talent. Whether shepherding the careers of young, aspiring stars like Bow Wow and Da Brat, or engineering comebacks for industry legends like MC Lyte and Mariah Carey, Dupri knows how to sculpt great talent. The city of Atlanta became a musical powerhouse largely on the strength of the foundation that Dupri built with his So So Def label. He combined the Southern grit of his College Park home with a flash and style reminiscent of late ’90s New York glam-rap. Dupri played Quincy Jones to superstar Usher’s “King of Pop” on the 2004 blockbuster album Confessions, and has overseen much of girlfriend Janet Jackson’s recent releases. The son of industry legend Michael Mauldin, Dupri climbed the ladder on the strength of his own talent and tenacity to become a hip-hop legend, Atlanta’s favorite son and an inductee in the Georgia Music Hall of Fame. He’s maintained his relevancy through bass, crunk and snap by not being afraid to change – and unlike many other chart-toppers of his generation, his changes tend to be ahead of the curve. Never one to follow the pack, JD has made a career out of daring to be different; and in his own words, “Young, Fly, and Flashy.” The freshly minted author of Young, Rich, and Dangerous: The Making of a Music Mogul and owner of the hip club Studio 72, has joined forces with Courvoisier.

“As a respected leader in the cognac category, Courvoisier is excited to partner with Jermaine, a self-made man who is the ultimate trendsetter, cultural icon and savvy entrepreneur,” shares Chris Mahoney, senior brand director, Courvoisier Cognac.

The synergy of Courvoisier and the “self-made man” challenges consumers to “Find Greatness Within,” assuring that Courvoisier provides an unmatched experience –todd williams
