Tenth Street Entertainment

Iconic Blondie frontwoman and erstwhile First Lady of New Wave, Deborah Harry returns with her latest effort, Necessary Evil. The opener, “Two Times Blue,” is vintage Blondie, as is the sexy, swaggering title track. The real surprises come when ‘Ms. Don’t-Call-Me-Blondie’ breaks form, as on the pulsing, ethereal “Heat of the Moment” and the breezy “Paradise.” . Evil isn’t just a respectable effort from an industry veteran; it’s a strong set from a legendary vocalist and songwriter who still finds ways to keep our attention. –dusty culpepper
