Managing Attorney, The Cummings Law Firm
It’s a wonderful feeling to know that even in the legal system there’s
an increased presence of African American lawyers, bringing equal
representation to the courtroom. As managing attorney with The Cummings
Law Firm, Lisa Cummings has years of education, government and public
service experience, and is devoted to bringing about change and
diversity with every breath she takes.
“I’m a Christian and I believe that we should treat others the way that
we would want to be treated ourselves,” she explains. “You have to
remember that when you’re dealing with people, that’s very important.”
With Cummings and her Atlanta-based law firm specializing in numerous
facets of law including DUI, traffic, entertainment, and occasional
criminal cases, the Howard University School of Law graduate earnestly
believes in practicing a solid work ethic to bring about change. “You
have to work to make it in this country or anywhere,” she says. “You
have to be able to be willing to work hard and learn, because the laws
are very challenging.”
Cummings is certain that all success begins with believing in oneself,
and she has demonstrated that belief with a pattern of academic and
professional achievement and a strong dedication to helping others.
“Sometimes you’re not going to take the popular opinion, but you have
to stand for what is right and always respect other people and also
