Record company CEO Lance Rivera’s penchant for filmmaking has come to a head with his second directorial effort and screenwriting debut, The Perfect Holiday. In this feature film, a young girl’s hope for Christmas is to find a new husband for her divorced mother (Gabrielle Union). The girl turns to a department store Santa Claus (Morris Chestnut) looking for help. This flick has a lot of new talent going for it (Khail Bryant, Malik Hammond, Dennis Funny), but it also presents some familiar faces (Queen Latifah, Rachel True and Terrence Howard). With a PG rating and an ensemble cast, Rivera’s effort provides a wealth of comedy just in time for the holidays. –forrest green III
