This is the movie for which action fans have been waiting. Two of Hollywood’s greatest contemporary action stars in the same movie… what more could you want? Transporter’s Jason Statham and martial arts star Jet Li are pitted against each other in the midst of a growing war between the Triad and Yakuza clans. John Crawford (Statham) sets out on a personal vendetta against Rogue (Li), a legendary assassin. As an action flick, War works pretty well, with plenty of gun and swordfights to go around. It’s also nice to see a good popcorn action flick with a decent plot and a nice little twist at the end. –dark abyss
