Urban sophisticates sashayed with purpose and aplomb into the M Lounge Chicago as rolling out presented the African American Heritage Month Concert Series sponsored by Korbel Champagne. The libations, music and conversation flowed liberally and continuously at Chicago’s Wabash Avenue M Lounge, and were punctuated perfectly by Korbel Champagne-inspired drinks such as the Kir Royale, aka Cha Cha because of the champagne and Chambord mix. The event’s electric vibe was amplified by the powerful performance of the Julia Huff Trio. Even M Lounge owner, Reginald Marsh flowed through the crowd like a cool breeze and assisted mixologist, Trillion, in keeping the Korbel flow going. Lucky raffle prize winners won trips to Mi Spa Chicago, rolling out paraphernalia, and a Korbel tote bag stuffed with a variety of treats. The party reveling swelled to a fever-pitch, corkscrewing to a crescendo when vocalist Tammy McCann and trumpeter Jerome Croswell provided impromptu performances during the last set. The event was the first of eight concerts to be featured throughout the month of February. –terry shropshire
