From Halle Berry’s stunning wardrobe changes, to moving performances by Jennifer Hudson and Beyonce, the ceremony was a poignant reminder of all that we have accomplished as a community over the past year. 1909On February 12th the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) was founded by a multiracial group of activists, who answered “The Call,” in New York, New York. They initially called themselves the National Negro Committee.
