The
Crescent City is an architectural marvel renowned for its beauty,
historical significance, and, of course, the infamous partying. Even in
post-Hurricane Katrina, the city famous for
food, music and unique
culture remains unparalleled. Visitors remark that they often have to
remind themselves that they are actually in the U.S. because this place
is like no other
place in the world. As the song goes, “You don’t you know
what it means to miss New Orleans … “ so don’t.
New Orleans greatest claim to fame is its ability to always be New
Orleans. In what other city would bar patrons refuse to leave their
favorite French Quarter watering hole when floodwaters were rising just
across the threshold? In what other city are guests greeted with
impromptu parades, crawfish boils and live-on-the street entertainment
— none.

FRIDAY
FRENCH QUARTER
Friday – Stay in step with the indulgence and decadence
that is know as New Orleans and check into the W Hotel.
Located just steps from the French Quarter but in a quieter
location for a peaceful night’s rest, W New Orleans is
close to shopping, Harrah’s Casino and the Warehouse
District.
Post arrival – Head to the French Quarter to get acclimated. Don’t jump in the deep end just yet though, start by exploring the end of Bourbon Street nearest Canal Street to get your feet wet. Along with the never ceasing flow of libations, be sure to pace yourself and enjoy some alligator on a stick along with those Hurricanes. End the night at the historic Preservation Hall. |
