Beauty Supervisor, Walgreens
Walgreens
is committed to providing excellent customer service to its loyal
consumer base. “It’s the main thing that we focus on and it
has always been our goal to take care of our customers,” shares
Dana Earvin, a 28-year-veteran.
In her first year at Walgreens, Earvin determined that she would
specialze in the beauty business and began participating in ongoing
training classes as well as self-educating by reading about the
products.
When
Earvin started working for Walgreens, she stocked products and held
that position for only one year before she was appointed beauty
supervisor. Today, she manages 232 stores throughout Texas, overseeing
an average of two beauty advisors and two store managers per store, as
well as a host of district managers and lead market managers.
“My role is to oversee the stores and work with the staff, the
manager and the beauty advisor and assist them in helping make things
better for the customers,” she offers.
Earvin
guides in-store beauty advisors and store managers and keeps them
current on trends by partnering with product vendors. Through this
partnership, she ensures that Walgreens receives the latest and most
accurate information on hair and skin care products first. The next
step is to educate her staff so customers can stay informed.
Earvin
credits the lion’s share of her success to the diligence of the
staff at Walgreens, “[Having] people who are in the store, on the
front lines, [is the key] to [taking] care of our customers.”
