Common Unveils His Microsoft Softwear
 Common and Biz Markie take the stage

Rapper/actor Common was on hand to help launch Microsoft’s foray into the world of fashion, Softwear. The technology giant joined forces with the fashion-conscious MC to develop the limited edition t-shirt line.
Softwear by Microsoft made its debut at Skyline Studios in New York City. Guests were able to view the tees, which were inspired and designed by Common, while enjoying the sounds of DJ Biz Markie. Common briefly took to the stage to express his gratitude by saying, “I’m really just happy to be able to do these things and put out stuff that I like, things that you could wear that would be fresh and have meaning to them. I appreciate ya’ll coming through.”
He then went on to give the audience, which included “Entourage” star Jeremy
Piven, Danity Kane’s Dawn Richard, Day 26, “The Wire’s” Jamie Hector and more, a treat.

A Microsoft event wouldn’t be complete without the latest form of technology. Photos snapped by roving photographers were automatically uploaded to Windows Live spaces and displayed on flat screen monitors throughout the room using Eye-Fi, the world’s first memory card that uploads wirelessly to a computer network. –ivory m. jones
