Ever wish you were James Bond? Activision gives you a chance to play 007 with the latest update on the James Bond theme — Quantum of Solace. No surprise, the game is an adaptation of the movie of the same name. You play MI6 agent James Bond as he takes revenge on those responsible for the death of his lost love. As romantic as it may seem, the game is an all-out, take no prisoners first-person shooter. If you are playing it on the Wii, we highly recommend using the zapper attachment which gives a much more realistic feel to the game.
The story line guides you through mansions, racing through catacombs and running over rooftops while you pursue the enemy. Like any good spy, you have to use special tools and a variety of weapons to be successful. The game play moves at a decent pace and allows you to choose between unloading on the enemy or using stealth in hand to hand combat. You have the option of playing single, in console multi-player mode, or online network game playing. The game is sure to keep you excited about getting to the next challenge and the next location to explore.
So if you don’t make it to the theaters to watch a Bond movie, then become him on your platform of choice — you won’t be disappointed. Rated T for Teen (age 13 and over). –chip gross
